Where is everybody?

I've just installed a statcounter (as you can see from the multiple buttons on the right - how do I get rid of them?!) and I've made the depressing discovery that my blog is being visited by precisely nobody!!!! So I'm speaking to thin blogosphere air - a bit like a vicar I used to know who had to preach sermons week after week to an empty church... The trouble is I dont have time to do anything about it at the moment - work is very busy. Never mind - will get working on it soon!

You just thought you were speaking to no one! Ha! Actually, I haven't been checking my reader everyday which is where I have your blog listed because I stay so busy keeping up with all the messages on the EDM site. Wow, there are always so many and I get interested and start visiting and the next think I know another night has gone by and I haven't checked the blogs I intended to!

To get more readership you need to visit a few blogs and leave comments so we all know you are alive when we forget to check our readers (google, Yahoo and such). Or, you can drop a line at EDM letting everyone know you've posted something new on your blog. Soon, because your art is good and you are a friendly sort, people will start stopping by more often. It takes a tad of work but it's fun work.

I am always a sucker for pictures of animals especially dogs.

Oh I'm embarrassed now - I thought no one was listening when I had my rant!!! Thanks for your advice - I know I've got to make more effort and I will when I get time...

Woops...second try at commenting. We are watching you! Keep posting and reminding us to look. I agree with Freebird---it is easy to get side-tracked--there is just so much to see!

This may be too late to comment on this page but I just discovered your blog (11-29-08). Is the statcounter supposed to show up on our screens? Nothing is showing on mine and it isn't showing when I check your 11-28 post, either, so perhaps your counter isn't working and you have more people visiting than you know.
