Dry Dock

This is the last post for just over a week as we are taking the boat out of the water to work on it (lots of painting, cleaning etc). The rabbit has already gone to his rabbit hotel and the dogs have to go into kennels tonight (sob!) Hopefully I will have a little bit of time to sketch but I'll see how it goes.

I've missed your blog while I have been in my artistic ditch - and now I see you are taking a week off! Maybe some sketches to post when you get the boat back in the water?????

I shudder to think of all that scraping and scrubbing, but I know that's what a boat requires. Your sketches show such a cozy atmosphere on the narrow boat, which will change while the pets are away, I know. I would feel lonely for them, myself-- after all, they ARE Fur Persons as in May Sarton's book of that name. But it will be such a relief when the work is done, won't it?

Hi Anita, I have missed you too - I hope you are out of the ditch - it's easy to get into one I know. I didn't do any sketching while we were out of the water - was busy and did not feel at all inspired! Hi Annie, it is now cosy again with the fur persons aboard, and it is a relief that the work is done. Hi Freebird, thanks for visiting all of you!
