It's not really finished, and I've worked on it for 4 hours. It's only 8 x 6! I think it's going in the right direction so I'm stopping now even though there are still things I could change. It's only practice, and I think I should move on to the next one! I think the slowness is caused by the amount of time it takes me to mix the correct colours, but that should improve I hope!

Don't tough it. I really like this one. Move on to the next. It has a kind of Cezanne like quality about it. Something about the color or brush treatment of the apple. Anyhoo, great work!
But lovely work all the same! Yes move on to the next one - I've started setting myself a time limit for small pieces. The apples are delicious - great brushwork
